Having done another react course, I found this course interesting and helpful to help me understand concepts. Thanks to Bob for really explaining in detail the different parts of the course

Really well made instructions. However, there is a lot of use of third party applications. During this course i managed to use only VSCode, however 95% of the instructions are based on Scrimba, Figma and more

Overall a good course, some issues with duplicated / missing lessons is leading to a lower score. I believe a good chunk of this course is being re-made with the new version of React so this may change in time

I recently completed the "Learn React" course and wanted to share my experience. While there were some genuinely positive aspects, the overall experience was frustrating enough that I can’t recommend it. What I liked: 1) Bob the instructor is clearly knowledgeable and does a good job presenting the course material. His tone is engaging, and he explains concepts clearly. 2) The coding challenges were fun, especially because they were structured around small games. This made it easier to stay focused and engaged. 3) Repetition was used effectively to help reinforce core concepts, which I appreciated as a learner trying to internalize new ideas. What made me give it 2 stars: 1) The Scrimba UI is a mess. I lost count of how many times I typed code into the in-browser editor only to have it wiped out when I hit "play." Eventually, I gave up and started following along in VS Code. While that gave me more control, it slowed down my progress significantly and made the course more tedious than it needed to be. 2) The teaching style sometimes felt counterproductive. Bob often demonstrates the "wrong" way to do something without warning it's wrong, and then walks through the "right" way after. If you're following along in VS Code like I was, this approach becomes frustrating fast. I’d much prefer seeing the best practice first, then a discussion of what pitfalls to avoid. 3) Scrimba's platform was such a turn-off that I won't be taking any more courses hosted on it if I can help it. The UI was more of a barrier than a tool, and it seriously hampered my learning experience. In summary, the instructor and content could have made this a solid React course, but the Scrimba platform and some stylistic choices in how the content was taught made it more painful than productive.
